For Discord members

Verify your age.
Keep your ID
out of Discord.

Verify your age with a government ID and a live selfie, checked securely outside Discord. Staff see that you’ve been verified as 18 or older. Your ID and selfie stay private.

Verify once. Use it across servers. In other servers with the GetVerified bot, an active verification that meets their age requirement adds the role without another upload.

Servers pay for new verifications.
Explanatory ID-style portrait: an adult photographed against a plain gray wall, hair tied back, wearing a gray collared shirt.
Government ID
Explanatory photo: the same adult on a different day takes a front-camera selfie at home, hair down, wearing a black T-shirt, face centered and looking at the lens.
Live selfie
Face the camera in ordinary light. Your live selfie is matched to the portrait on your ID.
Verify once

New server.
Already verified.

Skip the repeat ID upload. Join another server that uses GetVerified and the bot can add your verified role. No new ID, no new selfie, no trip back to the website, and no new set of strangers looking at your documents.

✓Your verification is still active ✓It meets that server’s age requirement –If not, you’ll see the usual Get Verified steps

Staff in the new server see that you’ve been verified as 18 or older. They don’t receive your documents.

Rowan verified once, in Inkwell After Dark. That verification was still active and met Low Light Horror Club’s 18+ requirement, so the role was added on arrival.

Who sees what

Know who sees what before you start.

An independent verification service securely processes your ID and live selfie. GetVerified uses the result to assign your verified role. Staff see that you’ve been verified as 18 or older, without receiving your ID or selfie.

Your controls

Your information. Your choice.

Your verified age information is linked to your Discord account so servers with the GetVerified bot can check it against their requirement. Here’s what is kept and what you’ll be able to remove.

  1. 01

    Know what is kept.

GetVerified uses a record linked to your Discord account and the verification information needed to confirm your age. The verification service handles your ID and selfie. Before you verify, you’ll see what is kept, by whom and for how long.

  2. 02

    Delete your reusable verification.

You’ll be able to remove it so it can no longer be reused. You’ll need to verify again if you want to use GetVerified later. Before you confirm, you’ll see what happens to roles and access you already have.

  3. 03

    Request deletion of verification data.

You’ll be able to request, through GetVerified, removal of the ID, selfie and verification data held by the verification service. This is separate from removing your reusable verification, and you’ll see any retention limits before you act.

Member questions

Questions, answered plainly.

What you need, what it costs, and what happens in the next server.

Do I have to verify again in every server?

Not when your verification is active and meets that server’s age requirement. In servers with the GetVerified bot, it can be reused and the role added without another upload. If it doesn’t qualify, that server shows you the usual Get Verified steps.

How is verification funded?

Servers pay for new verifications for their members.

Will moderators see my ID or selfie?

No. Staff see that you’ve been verified as 18 or older. They don’t receive your ID image, selfie, legal name, address or exact birth date.

Who does receive my ID and selfie?

An independent verification service, which needs them to complete the ID and live selfie check. GetVerified uses the result to assign your verified role. Staff receive confirmation that you’re 18 or older, plus whether you meet any higher age requirement set by the server.

What information does GetVerified keep?

A record linked to your Discord account and the verification information needed to confirm your age. You’ll see exactly what is kept, and for how long, before you verify. Signing up for launch updates is separate from verification.

Can I delete my verification?

You’ll be able to remove your reusable verification so it can no longer be reused. You’ll need to verify again to use GetVerified, and you’ll see the effect on existing roles before you confirm. See your controls.

Does that also delete my ID and selfie?

Not by itself. The verification service holds your ID, selfie and verification data, and deleting them is a separate request. You’ll be able to make it through GetVerified, with any retention limits explained first.

Why do I need an ID and a live selfie?

The ID is checked for authenticity and shows your date of birth. The live selfie helps confirm you’re present and that you’re the person pictured on the ID.

Where do I start?

Start with the Get Verified button in any Discord server with the GetVerified bot. This website explains the process; it doesn’t collect your ID or selfie.
